Introduction
Considering the importance of students' multicultural learning experiences and interdisciplinary research competencies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields for today’s workforce, maintaining and enhancing the quality of the International Master Program in STEM Education is essential. The College of Education at NPTU offers the International Master Program in STEM Education to help international students strengthen their cross-disciplinary research capacities via attaining an M.S. degree specifically in STEM education. This program integrates professional interdisciplinary STEM knowledge into research modules and provides students with opportunities to develop research expertise and practical skills within a multicultural learning environment. The STEM Master Program is designed to prepare students for the workforce by equipping them with interdisciplinary competencies in STEM education and valuable multicultural research experience.
The mission and main objectives of this program as below:
1. To strengthen students' research skills and interdisciplinary competencies in STEM education.
2. To prepare students to become researchers, designers, and developers of instructional materials in STEM education.
3. To offer professional development opportunities for current staff in the field of STEM education.
